Reflections in the past 1 year
The past year,2008, I would say, is a very exciting and memorable year for 2A, for my cca and for myself. The year had really started in mid december last year, where all of us was wondering who were our teachers for the year. Some continued teaching us, like Mdm Wan(黄老师) and mrs choy, some changed ( well apparently all of our other subject teachers, duh). Like who will forget the first lesson for LA. Everyone was practically silent and still when mrs look walked in. Scary.( Apparently, she had forgotten to collect the reading passports even till the year ended =.=") Haha, good for us then =P.
Teachers aside, I feel 2A has indeed evolved(think pokemon or wad) as a class together throughout the year. There were exciting, angry, sad, happy and tearful moments for 2A. I remembered clearly that the problems we had in year 1 was dragged on to the first few months. Everyone, I felt, still did nt have the strong bonds we needed. Practically like a pile of sand, I would say. But clearly, we have indeed gotten rid of the walls between us and put aside our differences to bond, as a class. Throughout the many class and semi-class projects we have done, it is clear we have indeed grew strong together. We now proudly call ourselves members of 2A, 2Attactive 2Avoid!!!
Sadly, the year has ended, but of course with a bang. Who could forget the crazy and tearful moments in the last day of school, where everyone was practically hugging each other? But let's put that behind us and get ready for the very last event that the class would be spending together: The Class Chalet.
What about cca then? Cca for the year was very exciting and kinda tiring to say. We began our year preparing for the short play competition in may. In february, we welcomed our next batch of juniors. I remembered some were unhappy, some did not know what to do upon coming into CL. What's more, the period they came in was during intensive rehearsals, so we didnt have much time to communicate with them. Sorry!!!While we did not do as well during the short play competitions, we buckled up for the next important part of the year: 学艺新声 2008. Talking about this just makes me feel...excited once more. We have truly endured the hardships together as one. Who could ever forget the tiring rehearsals that mostly lasted till 6+ ? Who could forget the times we were being scolded by 苏老师( actually nt really scold but talked)?Who could forget the very last week, where rehearsals lasted for almost 6 hrs everyday? Most importantly, who could forget what we have learnt through drama itself? It is really very enriching, more enriching than any books you can ever read.
For me, I have truly learnt how to communicate better and learnt much much much more things this year, whether in pursuing academics or life itself. Very special thanks to my friends, my teachers and of course my family who always stood by me.
Below is some famous quotations by famous people I have learnt to either live by or not.Haha.
An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law.

An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind.

We must become the change we want to see in the world.
The death of one man is a tragedy. The death of millions is a statistic.
___________ Joseph Stalin
Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.
___________Barack Obama
A 'No' uttered from the deepest conviction is better than a 'Yes' merely uttered to please, or worse, to avoid trouble.
