Are people really so.....
Something sparked my inspiration for today.
Or rather, my thinking process.
As usual, I will be talking crap with my friends but I learn something quite true.
First question:Are people really so forgetful of what happened in the past?
Say for example, do singaporeans still remember the mas selamat incident where the top terrorist escaped? Do they still remember the incident involving the white tigers biting the worker at the Singapore Zoo?
Most people have no answer for this, because they forgot about it.
The weird thing is, it is the old people who remembers. Do they really have better memories of such things, or is it that things just do not stick to the people's minds?
Sad.
Saw a situation while taking the train today. Old people giving up seats to old people. Really sad case. But the special thing I saw it that, they just started chatting like that.
Now, pick out anyone from the streets and ask them to start chatting with some strangers. My guess is that most youngsters cant do it. But strangely, the middle-aged and the elderly can do it.
Arent youngsters lively and supposed to be unafraid of anything?Arent they supposedly have better communication skills? But why is this happening? Is it because of the fact that they did not experience the kampong life of the past to learn these things? Or is it education who tells us not to talk to strangers??
Last but not the least, I found out the reason why small acts of kindness can warm one's heart.
It is because of the fact that people are getting too cold and heartless(I wouldnt really use this, but well, cant think of something better), that people find these small acts of kindness heart-warming.
While of others, they would'nt feel so
Because of the fact that that is an every day thing for them
Everything we watch those tear-jerking dramas on television(no offence though), do we ever, ever reflect on ourselves? We cry for the short period of time, but do we really change ourselves for the better?
